Backup integration
On-prem, VMware, and Hyper-V backup infrastructure from Veeam VSPC joins Datto BCDR and Keepit SaaS-backup on one customer hub.
What Vectis syncs
The read side of the adapter. Pulled on a schedule and available everywhere the customer account surface lives.
Read-only today
This adapter pulls data into Vectis but doesn’t write back into Veeam Cloud Connect. Rules can still react to the synced data — for example, a Pax8 subscription change can open a ConnectWise ticket or a HaloPSA action. The write-back lands in the PSA, not in Veeam Cloud Connect.
How it correlates
Vectis is about Veeam Cloud Connect joining your other systems around the customer account — not a standalone dashboard. Two concrete examples:
A customer with Datto BCDR on their servers, Keepit on their SaaS, and Veeam on their Hyper-V hosts shows all three under one backup section. Stale or failed jobs from any of the three surface through the same alerts — you don't have to keep three portals open to know what's healthy.
A VSPC recovery, security, or connector event falls inside an open PSA ticket's window for the same customer and attaches to the ticket so the dispatcher sees the full sequence. No copy-paste of Veeam event logs.
Setup snapshot
In VSPC, create a dedicated portal user for Vectis with a read-only role that can see companies, backup jobs, and monitoring. Paste your VSPC base URL (including port — usually 1280), the username, and the password into Vectis. Vectis tests the connection against /api/v3/about and enforces a minimum VSPC major version of v7 (VSPC v6 and earlier are not supported). The first sync pulls companies + jobs + latest state; events drain on a 14-day rolling window with a 10K-event cap per sync to protect against runaway audit log volume.
