RMM integration

Atera logo

Vectis + Atera.

Atera customers, agents, and alerts on the customer hub — the simplest RMM setup in Vectis (one API key, no OAuth, no region).

Read + WriteVectis syncs from this tool and can write back inline (replies, status updates, ack/resolve, ticket creation).
Vectis customer hub tickets tab for an Atera-connected customer — open Atera tickets with status, priority, technician, and per-row Reply and Edit actions on a single workspace pane.

What Vectis syncs

The read side of the adapter.

Atera customers become Vectis customer accounts on first sync, and from there Vectis pulls each agent with its OS, hardware, disk, memory, and last-seen timestamp. Active alerts come in tagged by severity (Critical, Warning, Information) so the customer hub surfaces what's on fire right now alongside whatever PSA tickets and backup status the customer carries.

What you can do

The write side of the adapter.

Acknowledge active alerts from the customer hub (Vectis sets the Atera alert to Snoozed status), or resolve them when the underlying issue is fixed — both write back to Atera in real time and audit-log inside Vectis. The same ack and resolve verbs are available to rules, so a closing PSA ticket can auto-resolve the originating Atera alert without anyone clicking through to Atera. Same cross-tool automation Vectis offers for NinjaOne, regardless of which RMM you actually run.

Honest about the limits

What we don’t do, and why.

Atera's API is SaaS-only with one fixed endpoint and no region selector, so wiring is one-API-key simple — but if your Atera tenant is rate-limited (the public limit is 60 calls/minute per key), high-frequency rules can hit the cap on a busy tenant. Mint a dedicated key for Vectis rather than reusing one wired into another integration so the budget isn't shared.

How it correlates

One customer, every tool.

Atera on the customer account hub alongside every other system you run — not a standalone dashboard. A few of the most common shapes this takes:

Alert ↔ PSA ticket, same as every other RMM

An Atera alert fires for a device that Vectis already maps to a ConnectWise or Autotask company. A rule opens a PSA ticket on the right board and links the ticket back to the alert. When the ticket closes, a companion rule resolves the Atera alert. Same cross-tool automation, regardless of RMM.

One customer hub, four RMMs

Atera agents show up on the same customer hub as NinjaOne devices, Kaseya agents, and N-able devices. Lifecycle, posture, and backup context merge without caring which RMM manages the endpoint.

Setup snapshot

What connecting looks like.

Atera's setup is the lightest in Vectis — head to Admin → API and generate a dedicated API key for Vectis. Copy the key into Vectis; there's no OAuth, no region selector, no tenant URL. Atera's API is SaaS-only with a fixed endpoint, which means a single value gets you connected. Vectis tests with a customers query before saving so a typo'd key fails fast. The first sync pulls customers, agents, and alerts end-to-end; subsequent syncs run incrementally on a schedule.
