Asset lifecycle integration

HP / HPE Warranty logo

Vectis + HP / HPE Warranty.

Pull live warranty expiry dates and Care Pack tier from HP's Product Warranty API — every HP and HPE device shows accurate coverage without a manual lookup.

PlannedAdvertised; dedicated adapter on the registry roadmap. The generic webhook receiver covers the gap until the named connector lands.

What Vectis syncs

The read side of the adapter.

Vectis calls the HP Product Warranty API with batches of up to 50 HP and HPE assets (serial + optional product number) from across your connected RMMs. For each device, Vectis picks the latest-expiring active warranty offer and records the expiry date and Care Pack description. The result writes onto the asset record in Vectis and shows on the customer hub without touching the originating RMM.

What you can do

The write side of the adapter.

HP Warranty is a read-only enrichment connector — Vectis pulls coverage data from HP and writes it onto asset records. Assets with lapsed or near-expiry coverage surface automatically in lifecycle views and can trigger rules (e.g. open a renewal ticket in the PSA when a device enters its 90-day window). No write-back to HP is supported or needed.

Honest about the limits

What we don’t do, and why.

HP's API matches most accurately when both serial number and product number are provided; serial-only lookups can return multiple results from which Vectis picks the latest expiry. Devices with missing or ambiguous serials return no warranty data; Vectis logs the gap rather than estimating. Batch size is capped at 50 by the HP API; Vectis sequences calls for larger fleets.

How it correlates

One customer, every tool.

HP / HPE Warranty on the customer account hub alongside every other system you run — not a standalone dashboard. A few of the most common shapes this takes:

Warranty status on every HP and HPE device, automatically

Vectis matches HP and HPE assets by serial number across all connected RMMs and populates warranty expiry and tier without a CSV import or manual lookup. Devices expiring in the next 90 days surface automatically in the lifecycle module.

Coverage gaps next to backup and patch status

The customer hub shows HP warranty status on the same asset row as backup coverage, patch compliance, and RMM alert count — so a device with lapsed warranty and an open alert stands out without a separate report.

Setup snapshot

What connecting looks like.

Go to developers.hp.com, sign up for an account, and create an application to obtain an API key and API secret. Enter both in Vectis admin → Integrations → HP Warranty. Vectis validates with a test call before saving, then queues a background sync to enrich all HP and HPE assets by serial number across your connected RMMs. Where product numbers are available on the asset record (pulled from RMM inventory), Vectis includes them in the lookup for maximum accuracy.

# In the Vectis hub, add the connector:
category Asset lifecycle
vendor HP / HPE Warranty
status Planned
